Welcome to the Data-Centric Computing Lab at Konkuk University!
Data Centric Computing Lab (DCCL) at Konkuk University specializes in the design and implementation of high-performance storage systems and database engines for next-generation data-intensive computing. Our research focuses on the deep synergy between evolving hardware technologies—such as CXL, disaggregated memory, and heterogeneous storage—and the core architectures of data management systems. We specialize in architecting high-performance data infrastructure at the systems level, optimizing the internal mechanisms of Vector Databases, Time-series Databases, and Key-Value Stores. By fundamentally rethinking the interaction between the storage stack and modern hardware, DCCL builds the robust foundations necessary for autonomous and intelligent data platforms.

DCCL is currently seeking highly motivated undergraduate research interns to join our journey in pushing the boundaries of data-centric systems. This opportunity is exclusively open to Konkuk University students, and we highly encourage applications from those who have completed at least one of the following courses: System Programming, Operating Systems, or Database.
